Description
- Temperature: 24–29°C (75-84°F) is recommended for aquarium maintenance. However, the species is known to be very hardy, capable of surviving temperatures ranging from 0 to over 30°C in the wild, including freezing conditions.
- pH: Prefers a range of 6.5 - 7.5, although as a species, they are adaptable to a wide range of pH levels (generally around 6.0 - 8.0).
- Size & Care: Can grow to +1ft (30cm to 85cm+), requiring a large, securely covered aquarium, as they are strong jumpers.
- Diet: Carnivorous, feeding on live foods, insects, and crustaceans.
