Description
Appearance: The 24k Golden Arowana is renowned for its brilliant, shimmering scales that give off a striking golden hue, resembling 24-karat gold, hence the name. The fish has a long, slender body with large, scale-covered fins and a slightly upturned mouth, characteristic of the Arowana species.
Arowanas need an aquarium that's at least 150 gallons to accommodate their long bodies and fins. Since arowanas tend to swim near the top of their tank's water, the aquarium's length and width measurements are more important than its height.
Temperature. Arowanas are tropical fish that thrive in water temperatures between 72–82 degrees F. An aquatic heater should be installed in the tank to ensure that water temperatures stay within an ideal range and do not fluctuate more than +/- 2 degrees F in a single day
