How to Use
- Read the current package instructions and confirm suitability for the water type being tested.
- The listed procedure is to immerse a strip for one second, then wait one minute before comparing the colours with the package chart. Follow the supplied instructions if they specify different timing for any parameter.
- Use a timer and compare colours under suitable lighting within the specified reading window.
- Handle strips with clean, dry hands and avoid touching the test pads.
- Record results to help follow changes over time.
Understanding Results
Compare results with the requirements of your particular aquarium inhabitants rather than assuming one range suits every aquarium. Colour strips provide an indication within their chart ranges; they are not a guarantee that all aspects of water quality are suitable.
Ammonia is not among the six listed checks. Use a separate suitable ammonia test when needed. Confirm unexpected, borderline or concerning results with an appropriate parameter-specific test before making significant adjustments.
Storage and Care
- Keep unused strips dry and close the container promptly after removing a strip.
- Store according to the label, away from moisture, heat and direct sunlight.
- Follow the expiry date and any after-opening instructions.
- Do not reuse strips or use strips that are damaged or moisture-exposed.
- Keep out of reach of children and pets and dispose of used strips according to the package instructions.
