Description
These fish stay small, growing no larger than one to two inches, which makes them an excellent choice for small-sized tanks. Silver Tip Tetra are very peaceful and make great additions to community aquariums. However, they should only be kept in tanks with other non-aggressive fish that are similar in size.
This schooling species is very lively and social, so we would not recommend only keeping a few or else they may show interest in fin nipping other fish. A group should consist of at least 8–10 silver tip tetras in a 20-gallon aquarium or larger, which will give them more space to zoom around the tank.
