Sunsun Hang on Filter - HBL - 501

Sunsun HBL 501 Waterfall Filter falls into the external aquarium filter category, it differs from both external canister and internal filters.

Water intake is carried out by a kinked intake pipe.

It is equipped with a sponge prefilter, which is positioned on the exterior of one of the aquarium walls.

Backwater enters the aquarium through the waterfall overflow; such aquariums are frequently referred to as “cascades.”

The hinged filter does not obstruct the internal space of the aqua system due to its location on the outside of the aquarium.

It has a far bigger useable volume than the internal filter, where the filter elements are located, which significantly enhances filtration quality.

In addition to mechanical filter components (sponges), a bigger filter volume allows you to easily install biological and chemical filters such as ceramics and activated carbon in it.

Water is “surface” filtered in these filters, which means it is mixed with air as it passes through the “waterfall.”
